My name is Sarah and I live in Connecticut's beautiful, serene Northeast corner in our state's smallest town, Union - population: 694. My home is settled amongst state parklands, surrounded by dense forest and several bodies of cool refreshing water - most of which have lily pads the size of my head. There are the glorious sounds of songbirds throughout the day and the deep lull of peepfrogs at night. I'm married to my best friend, have (2) rambunctious pooches who never fail to teach me the virtue of patience on a daily basis, and I recently qualified for lower car insurance costs after turning the big 3-0. I am a self-proclaimed granola stalkin' treehugger who is down-to-earth yet responsible. I'm the oldest of 4 kids, have (2) lovely tattoos (if I do say so myself!), eat organic food as much as possible, love and support art in all its forms, and my talent includes but is certainly not limited to drawing a duck using a cursive-S. I write therefore I am. I'm also a budding mixed media artist.

In order to do my part as a concerned citizen for the well- being of our planet, I established Moondrop Clothiers in 2003 with just about a dollar in my pocket, an overstuffed closet, and the firm belief that one person CAN make a difference. My shop is based on (2) simple concepts - to help fulfill the need for socially-conscious, responsible commerce in today’s world and to educate consumers on the importance of purchasing fairly-traded goods. Moondrop Clothiers LLC is a unique place on the web with larger-than-life intentions to save the earth. It is a reflection of me, my ideals, and my life's work. To quote Mahatma Gandhi, "We must BE the change we wish to see in the world." I hope you agree.

I am also the proud owner of our "new addition" The Conscious Child, a baby and toddler division of Moondrop Clothiers LLC, after accidentally discovering that it was for sale.
In search of other "green" websites that were similar in an earth-conscious mission to my own, I immediately fell in love with this little spot on the web. There is so much to offer: from brand-new & gently-loved organic children’s clothing, fair trade toys, handcrafted Mama& Baby skin care, & eco-friendly market bags to Conscious tips submitted by parents who took the time to share their wonderful suggestions with others.
In essence, our site's mission is to offer quality, organic and all-natural children’s items at prices ALL conscious parents can afford. Its goal is to make green products affordable for everyone! The Conscious Child offers a selection of socially-conscious as well as environmentally-friendly baby & toddler products which includes fairly-traded clothing and toys from around the world. Parents can also sell their organic clothing and receive payment up front, as an alternative to consignment.
We would love to create a community within our website where parents can share tips that help them raise conscious children and hope to establish a forum in the near future.

Please feel free to contact us with any comments, questions, or suggestions that will help to make The Conscious Child website a better place to shop for your youngsters. We welcome all input. Thank you for your interest and please keep visiting!
Peace, Solidarity, and Friendship,
